Precious Moments - Jesus is the Light

It is with great sadness I am publishing this post.

Monday afternoon March 23, at 17 weeks along, my water broke. After being rushed to the ER, to our Baby Dr and back to the Hospital to be admitted, we learned that with my water breaking, the baby had lost all of the amniotic fluid the baby needs to be in to develop. Also, the risk of infection was very high for me with the cervix having an opening – and that meant infections were going right to my bloodstream and I had a high risk of developing septic shock which can be fatal.

With labour induced, I delivered a little girl – Nichole Noelle who is 5 ounces and 7 inches long. Although Nikki had a heartbeat for a few times while I held her, her lungs and organs were not developed enough to survive. At 17 weeks, she was way to small even for the medical equipment to keep her alive and to let her grow. (Most premie medical equipment is for babies 24 weeks and larger)

I want to raise enough money so I can pay the $300 fee to be 501 (3)(c) and be a TRUE non profit organization. That will enable me to get larger donations to support donating crafts in Nikki’s Name. Maybe I will hold a blind/silent auction. Now, finding a place to hold it at is another story..

Nikki was born and passed away a month ago today. I have had a hard time deling with it, but I am getting the help and support for me to move on. She will never be forgoten. Memories and photos live on. We will always love her.

We also have a teenage son who needs our support now too. I must find some closure to Nikki passing away. I hope this who site will do that.

A donaltion to a local food panrtry from some friends (Thanks) Sent us a beautiful plant for the Donation in Nikki’s name.  It has grown in just  few short weeks and I had to replant it. Pics soon.
